BackBlast:
Damsel and Buzz made it back for their 2nd beatdown, so now they were in for a different kind of experience with a “traveling DJ”! The boy band playlist was back, this time with a yo-yo spin. Hops was ready for the party and remembered good times at Justin Timberlake’s concert while I remembered the Commodores (little difference in ages between us!). Flip Flops had some good looking moves; Signs got in on the action even though it was a vacation day for her – talk about dedication! And of course, Queso (nicknamed the Beast) had to take everything up a notch – modified for harder, not easier!
The Thang:
After a quick warm up, we carried our weights quickly from the middle of the green down to one side of the parking lot for the legs station, over to the other side of the parking lot to the arms station, and back to the middle for up-downs (not Burpees, remember!). Then back out to the opposite end for cardio on the stairs, over to the side (really back to the middle where our mats were) for the abs, and then in the middle another set of up-downs.

COT:
Back when I was in high school, we used to go on a youth retreat every summer to Awanita. Our last year there as seniors, a group of girls got up early every morning to meet outside. We would circle up and pray silently, then close by reciting this prayer together. I still find myself (a few years later) saying this same prayer in the shower many mornings.
Good morning, God!
This is your day
I am your child
Please show me your way
