Eleven (11!) PAX joined me for a rainy Wednesday workout at MUD Room – so grateful for these women to workout with me and encourage one another!
After a quick warm-up, we got to it with a pyramid workout –
We worked our way up from the base, increasing duration of moves and number of laps after, but decreasing number of moves each round:
40s: push-ups, side leg raises (per side), calf raises, mt. climbers, backward lunges; 1 lap
45s: alternating single-leg bridge, shoulder taps (nice form, Fast Feet!), kneeling shoulder press, hip dips (J. Los); 2 laps
50s: monkey humpers, hammer curls, jump squats; 3 laps
55s: triceps extensions, front lunges; 4 laps
60s: up/down plank; 5 laps
Then we finished up with the ab challenge for the day: 8 straight leg lifts, 15 side plank rotation, 20 boat/canoe, 25 scissor kicks, 30 ankle biters, 45s plank
Stretch/CoT/Name-o-Rama: I am going through a small group curriculum with my husband about communication, and our book pointed out that “I was wrong” are three of the hardest words in the English language (or any language – thanks, Zumbo!). I’m working on humbling myself to give better apologies. Proverbs 18:21 starts out with, “The tongue can bring life or death…” Let’s choose to bring life today!
