That’s right, folks! I revealed my secret on Friday…I have NEVER Q’d at The Mudroom AO! When it was 5:30am and no one present claimed the Q, I suggested we start warming up. Then I suggested how we might do an “All Q” workout and thus began my unplanned, impromptu VQ at The Mudroom.
We warmed up with some cherry pickers, jumping jacks, and toy soldiers. It was pretty warm outside so that didn’t take long.
Next we went around the circle and each PAX chose an ARM exercise which we did for 45 seconds. Signs provided the music and the interval timer. The next PAX had 15 seconds to tell us what the next arm exercise would be.
After arms we ran to the downhill stairs and back.
Next we did a round of abs exercises with each PAX choosing one which we did for 45 seconds.
Then we ran to (and up) the Stairway to Heaven and back.
Next we did a round of leg exercises (45 seconds, each PAX chooses).
Then we ran to the parking garage stairs (slap the Floor 2 sign) and then came back.
Next we alternated around the circle – one PAX chose their least favorite exercise, the next PAX chose their favorite exercise…you guessed it…for forty-five seconds. Among the least favorite exercises were Burpees (of course!) and Supermans (my personal least favorite).
Finally we cooled down and stretched.
I shared an impromptu COT about the “full moon season” I’ve been in and about how it’s all worth it because two kids from work are graduating from high school on Saturday!
Now that I’ve done a MUD Room Q with no planning, let’s see what I can do with a little effort! 🙂
