The three of us at Rosewater this morning were slow-moving when we arrived, but we got ourselves going not too long thereafter!
First we stretched out individually as I shared the intro/disclaimer…
Then we did a couple warmups, in cadence:
10 toy soldiers
So for The Thang I used Legally Blonde’s super-simple but effective format of a Tabata routine:
2 sets of 5 exercises – 45sec on, 15sec off, EACH set 3x thru
First set, 3x:
squat to overhead press
runner’s squats (switched legs halfway)
Then we lunge-walked over to the circle and around, then ran over to the “islands” area of the parking lot, running around both islands before getting back to our mats.
Second set, 3x:
bent over rows
pistol squats (switched legs halfway)
Each PAX chose ab exercise and # of reps
Finally, we stretched/cooled down however needed while I shared my COT, which was just a blessing from the book of Hebrews in the Bible that I wanted to speak over us, reminding us our more-than-able God of PEACE Himself can and does equip us for whatever His will is, praise Him!!
Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, throuugh Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.
