BackBlast:

I loooove dogs! (Esp my own dog Bella, but ALL dogs everywhere!) So that’s why I loved when FiA PAX Sonic Boom led this dog-themed beatdown back in January, around when I first joined FiA! So I brought the workout back to the Rosewater last Wed and to the MUD Room today, doing all exercises DOG🐶 We def earned a treat after all the tricks we did!🦴

We circled up and started off with stretches while I introduced myself, welcomed the two FNGs, and shared the disclaimer and current COVID precautions.

Then we Warmed Up together:

  • Figure 4 squats (5 on both sides)
  • Pendulums (5 on both sides)
  • High knees/butt kicks around the mats
  • Toy soldiers around the mats
  • 5 Seal Jacks / 5 Smurf jacks

Stretched/Cooldown during CoT, starting with Downward dogs / Upward dogs!

CoT:

Dogs are so incredibly loyal, my dog Bella will do ANYTHING for me, never fickle with her love towards me, and my kids will always go to her when they are feeling down or upset, because they know she will be unchanging and always be there for them when others may not be.. in a way, this teaches us about first how God is – unchanging, faithful, dependable, we can always go to Him and He will never let us down! And then also how a loyal true friend is and should be…

In the Bible, God says this in Proverbs 18:24:

A man of many companions may come to ruin,

but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

We don’t necessarily want or need to have tons and tons of friends, but we want to seek out, and seek to be, the kind of friend who is loyal, faithful, and enduring, one who loves, cares, serves, and sacrifices. Just like our dogs! Ha…and more importantly, a friend like JESUS.

We named our two FNGs, Sup (a paddle boarder) and Alpine (a skier), did our Name-o-rama, Count-o-rama (22 PAX total!), and then snapped our PAX pic/selfie! (But a security officer came and talked to @Titanium about our usage of the parking deck right then!😜) I brought packs of mini granola bites or nuts for people to grab on their way out, as their reward treats 😊 It was a lot of fun recognizing “man’s best friend” together, with FETCH and following commands! Thanks to all for coming out and being so obedient!!😄😄
