This Power Hour workout (see photos) started under the large pavilion but took us around many parts of the park area. Instead of using equipment as the instructions say, we ran laps and walked up and down the benches near the playground area. We modified creatively as needed, and enjoyed a good beatdown for close to an hour!
For the COT, I was reminded of my favorite non-fiction writer, Gretchen Rubin, and her idea of the Power Hour. She says that “Nothing is more exhausting than the task that’s never started” and “Something that can be done at anytime is often done at NO time.” She created the power hour to power through those lingering tasks that have no real deadline. Since we got our workout done powerfully, we are now empowered to take on the rest of our lingering tasks during this busy holiday season.
