A lot of ladies out this morning: vacations, quarantining, sleeping in…tisk tisk! Nonetheless, we got.it.done even though, as Fast Feet pointed out, it was likely the hottest morning of summer yet. Without a breeze in sight, we got our sweat towels and water ready, and we jumped in. Warm-up: 30 sec each Arm circles front Arm circles back Alt jab bobs Butt kickers Jumping jacks Then we got started with 10 exercises for a minute a piece, focusing on arms and legs: Once those were complete, we mixed it up a little with a ladder. Oh….and this was not just any ladder…..you see what’s on there….BURPEES!!! One of our favorites!!! 🙂 We started out with the toughest round first, doing 10 burpees and 20 squats, then decreasing each round. Fast Feet led the way, but Flip Flops and I weren’t far behind. We were nice and sweaty and felt ACCOMPLISHED after that round! But, we weren’t quite done yet! Our last 10 exercises to focus on abs….leave no body part neglected! We finished with our COT. Have been feeling a bit burdened by the state of this world right now: the sickness, the injustices, the division, the cancelations, the changes and the needed changes….it’s weighing heavier and heavier as the year goes on… So, I turned to God and was reminded of His provision, His protection, His never-failing help in time of need. Hope these verses uplift and encourage you as they did me this morning. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4 “The is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: ‘I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.'” 2 Kings 20:5 “Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.” Jeremiah 17:14 “‘But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 30:17 “‘I have seen their ways, but I will heal them; I will guide them and restore comfort to Israel’s mourners, creating praise on their lips. Peace, peace, to those far and near,’ says the Lord, ‘And I will heal them.'” Isaiah 57:18-19
