BackBlast:

It was a beautiful, chilly, windy morning – perfect for a KISS workout!  Actually, Keep It Simple Stupid with a playlist of songs with the word kiss in it, or by the group KISS.  Fun!

But that was where the fun ended…we had work to do.  10 rounds that built on each other with a lap between each round.  Start with 5 Burpees, run a lap, come back and do 5 Burpees then 10 Merkins…  We made it through Round 8 before time was up so added the 45 Flutter Kicks with weights held over our heads (feet and weight 6 inches from the ground) and 50 Squats.

The Thang:

Everyone was excited about the Burpees, naturally.  Especially since we were able to repeat them each time.  Sonic Boom has taken this Pushup Challenge to heart – you should see her form and depth!  And Damsel was back!  (She’s going to have a granddaughter come January)  Zumbo was racing her laps and pounding out her reps!  Strong looks good on you!  Chief was hitting those Burpees hard – didn’t even need the mat!  And Queso always represents – she’s the one to beat!

COT:

Spoke with friends in Paraguay who are missionaries there.  They had a great analogy for resting on the Sabbath.  In Paraguay, they drink Mate from a communal cup/straw – there is a single cup of tea that is passed around among the group.  It is a time of friendship and sharing.  Similarly, we should rest and commune with God and friends.  A beautiful illustration (though not Covid-friendly).
