I’m going hunting in a couple of weeks. This Q relates to things Southern: camo, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.
Warm up exercises together in cadence. Some things you see when going out in the woods:
Little man in the woods
Grab a hunting buddy-Whenever going out in the woods, safety first!
Modes of movement
Hike and Ruck – around green or deck
(Start music and Tabata 50/15, or do 20 of each, then move on)
Bear crawl (Modification: duck walk)
Low plank – hold
Take a Bird Dog
Others Hunt: Zebras
Climb up the ladder into a tree stand
Step over logs – High knees
Walking lunges – slow and steady. Don’t want to disturb the animals.
Pee stance – super low squat like you are peeing in the great outdoors
Tree pose – yoga tree pose
Hold weights out side (or out front)
Use those Arms –
Shoulder to shoulder overhead with weights
Upright rows –
Abs and core – 4 min
Ankle biters, then ab-o-rama
COT at beginning: The old man used to say that the best part of hunting and fishing was the thinking about going, and the talking about it after you got back. _Robert Ruark.
COT at the end: In hunting, as in life, sometimes the things you need most isn’t the thing you went looking for.
We all hunt for something: happiness, fulfillment, food, a good deal, a spouse. 🙂
