We began the workout with a low impact version of The Routine. Then we did The Routine for real:
5 tricep dips
10 lunges per leg
10 push ups
15 sit ups
20 jumping jacks
After The Routine, I distributed the This or That cards. Each card had a choice for a PAX to make. For example, “Plain or Peanut?” There was a different exercise associated with each answer. Each PAX took a turn asking the PAX to her right the question on a card. She answered quickly (in 15 seconds) off the top of her head. Then we did the exercise for 45 seconds. During the 45 second exercise period, the PAX that answered explained to the group why she chose the answer she did. (Some answers were more complicated and philosophical than “plain or peanut”.) The PAX who answered then asked the next PAX a question from her cards, got a quick answer and then we all did the associated exercise for 45 seconds.
We did 3 rounds of questions then The Routine.
We repeated this 3 times and then time was up and we cooled down and stretched.
It was a great way to get to know each other better and forget that we were exercising!
