Queso got us warmed up on this rainy morning, so we were pumped for more Olympic challenges!
The first event was the Wall Sit – 90-degree angle, arms by ears whole time – and our very own U-Haul won the day with perfect form and a time of 5:06! Impressive!
Once pax were “out,” (because only Zumbo and U-Haul were able to take the punishment of a wall sit for the longest), we rolled the dice for reps and picked arm moves out of a cup.
Next we broke it up with a “Call Me Maybe” Relay we took turns tearing strips of paper off the bottom of a sheet, and the one who picked got to run a lap while the rest of the pax did the exercise!
Traveling to the green for our Broad Jump Burpee Race, we cooled off a little in the sprinkling rain, and Signs won the race & the gold medal!
Finally, Queso read off some arms-free ab moves, which we all did while playing Camera Hot Potato! Some great selfies were the product of that one.
While we had some friendly competition, I was reminded that FiA unites us, and, just as Christians are called to show equal concern for one another in 1 Corinthians 12, we can enjoy unity in this way – “if one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”
What a fun morning, and it was definitely a TREAT to welcome our FNGs, Graphite & Sweet Treat! Can’t wait to see you all again soon. <3
