BackBlast:

Brought a bunch of toys for a round of circuit training – girlfriends, bucket, webbing (rope), 40 lb battle rope, along with our standard weights. We had 8 stations and 3 rounds of each with a run around the parking lot in between. Each station was 30 seconds with 10 seconds to get to the next one. We used a tree, telephone pole, park bench, sidewalk, and the parking lot. Make use of your environment! We ended with abs – the first set were ones I had, and then everyone called one out along with the number of reps. Part of the workout was unloading and then loading all the stuff again! Next time maybe we’ll do 4 rounds…

The Thang:

  • Battle Rope – Hermione showed us how this was done! Both ropes with a jump – I didn’t manage that one. Maybe next time…

  • Squat with Bag and Bucket – Queso got the squats going – bag on the shoulders and squat til the seat hits the top of the bucket. She made it look easy. It wasn’t after the first 10 seconds!

  • Incline Push Ups (bench)

  • Raised Leg Glute Bridge

  • Burpees – Sonic Boom doesn’t complain, she just knocks out the Burpees. Powerhouse!

  • Slow Release Pull Ups (webbing draped over tree limb)

  • Twist & Drop with Bag

  • Mountain Climbers

Abs:

  • Dolphin Push Ups

  • Side Plank with Twist

  • Twisting Mountain Climbers

  • Leg Dips

  • Hip Dips

  • Circle shout out – I don’t remember all of these, but do remember that Triple Crown challenged us to 40 Russian Twists. I remember when I was her age and had that kind of stamina! Love it that we have all ages in FiA so we’re always pushing each other to go further and try harder!
