What a great start to my 37th wedding anniversary – a beatdown with 25 fun friends! Way back on August 4th in 1984, Nelson and I got married. So our theme today (and you know I love a theme!) had to do with weddings/family.
We started our warm up right at 5:30 – remember our August challenge to start and end on time – and by the time we were warm, everyone was there! Then we paired off into “couples” with a seasoned FiA and a newer FiA, and moseyed over to the truck. Where we found boyfriends (20-22 lbs) and girlfriends (35 lbs). Why are the girlfriends bigger? Inquiring minds want to know!
We did the next 2 sections as a couple – dating and wedding, then paired couples for a family and “drove” to the green for a children section, and finally an empty nest (hooray!). Everyone played well together and we got some serious work in too. (We did reduce the number of Doras to 100 each after the 37 Deadlifts…)
