This morning was a festive morning of Christmas tunes and tree decorating. We started with a warmup of:
15 Jumping Jacks, 15 Cherry Pickers in cadence, 15 Butt Kickers, 15 Michael Phelps
After our warmup, I turned up the Christmas tunes. Pax took turns running to the middle of the circle to choose an exercise “ornament” (see photo above) out of a gift bag. After they chose it, they’d call out the name of the exercise and number of reps on the paper circle. The pax would start doing the exercise reps while the ornament chooser would glue stick their ornament to our paper FIA tree. We were able to complete 22 different exercises before time was up. All agreed that they stayed warm and had fun “decorating our tree”.
COT: “Some Christmas tree ornaments do more than glitter and glow, they represent a gift of love given a long time ago.” Tom Baker, I also read some excerpts from Charlie Brown Christmas regarding the meaning of the first Christmas
